Finding Home Employment (Work at Home Jobs)

It’s challenging to find that perfect work at home opportunity; it can be like finding a needle in a haystack. You can spend hundreds of hours researching; you can encounter countless scams. Finally, when you think you've found the perfect opportunity you learn the position has already been filled. Now what? You're back where you started.

Don’t lose faith. There are REAL work at home jobs out there. Be aware though, a lot of competition is out there for these positions. Most of the people I know who work from home have spent a lot of time researching and searching before they found a position. Its safe to say you could be looking for as long as 6 months to a year before you happen across something.

The point is stay focused and don't take it personal. The trend is growing and so are the opportunities.

The good news is that the opportunity to work at home is real.  In this article I will share with you ideas, tips, and tricks I have used to find real work at home jobs. I will also try to help you lessen your risk of being scammed if you follow a few simple steps.

The first Idea I had when I started to look for work at home was:

Am I currently working in a position that I could do from my home?

I wasn't; however, you may be. If you are, my suggestion is to put together a "game plan". Get your plan together, then take your idea to the powers that be. Ask them to give it a trial run. Maybe 1 day a week. Who knows? They may like the idea and it could lead to a full time position.

With “flexible employment” options becoming more abundant, it is possible to turn your job into a “work at home” opportunity.  Your employer does not need to find space for you to work, nor pay some of the usual costs associated with full time employees (be careful that you don’t lose your benefits).

When seeking a “work from home” position, you may want to enter the following keywords into your search engine:

· telecommute
· telecommuting
· must have home office
· independent contractor
