Scope:

Reporting to the Director of Operations the Routing Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of the proper routing, distribution and delivery of customer orders.

Responsibilities:

- Liaise with client directly to ensure that all orders are accurate prior to shipping
- Search for fastest routes for outgoing shipments to customer sites
- Ensure delivery of product is on time and accurate
- Enter all delivery/order information into tracking system
- Communicate product orders to warehouse and dispatching staff to allow for preparation of goods to be shipped
- Provide the best possible service while observing cost savings measures

Requirements:

- Must have high degree of knowledge and experience in transportation industry
- Technical knowledge using real time data software i.e. Roadnet, PC Miler etc.
- Strong skills in mapping plus knowledge city and rural routes (GTA, St. Catherine's and/or Montreal)
- Strong customer focus
- Great communication, time management and organizational skills
- Able to work in a constantly changing environment and handle last minute requests professionally
- Decision making, multitasking and prioritizing capabilities
