Reporting to the Director of Operations the Routing Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of the proper routing, distribution and delivery of customer orders.

Responsibilities:

• - Liaise with client directly to ensure that all orders are accurate prior to shipping
• - Search for fastest routes for outgoing shipments to customer sites
• - Ensure delivery of product is on time and accurate
• - Enter all delivery/order information into tracking system
• - Communicate product orders to warehouse and dispatching staff to allow for preparation of goods to be shipped
• - Provide the best possible service while observing cost savings measures

Requirements:

1. - Must have high degree of knowledge and experience in transportation industry
2. - Technical knowledge using real time data software i.e. Roadnet, PC Miler etc.
3. - Strong skills in mapping plus knowledge city and rural routes (GTA, St. Catherine's and/or Montreal)
4. - Strong customer focus
5. - Great communication, time management and organizational skills
6. - Able to work in a constantly changing environment and handle last minute requests professionally
7. - Decision making, multitasking and prioritizing capabilities
